Vodacom Clearwater mall

If I could rate Vodacom lower than 1, I would. I have been with Vodacom since I first received a phone over 15 years ago. I even suggested to my husband that he switch from Telkom to Vodacom because I believed they were the best… not realising how wrong I would be.

We both upgraded our phones when he moved over to Vodacom. We each got the new Samsung S25 Ultra. The first problem started when Vodacom Clearwater Mall struggled for over a month to complete his SIM swap. They had so many excuses. Once that was finally sorted, things went smoothly for about two months.

Then his phone started giving problems. The fast charging didn’t work at all. Mind you, this phone cost over R25,000. It’s actually ridiculous, but since we usually keep our phones for four years, we thought it was still a good deal.

We contacted the Clearwater Mall branch multiple times, and every time they said they would call us back — they never did. We ended up having to go to the branch in person several times just to get any assistance.

After many calls, emails, and in-person visits, he eventually returned the phone for repairs. (Honestly, for the value of this phone, they should replace it rather than doing a quick fix.) We received the phone back after a week, and despite our high hopes, we were disappointed once again. The fast charging still doesn’t work.

On top of that, we were told our insurance would be a specific amount, only to receive a bill that was higher than what we signed for. Completely unacceptable.

What the heck, Vodacom? Your Clearwater Mall branch is terrible.

We followed every step and process set out by Vodacom, yet still there is no improvement.
