Vodacom - Choose ANY other Service Provider!

For over 15 years Vodacom debited my account for a small 3G contract. On the 14th May 2020, I phoned to cancel the contract as we had uncapped fibre installed and I did need the 2GB data from the 3G contract. I was informed that the last debit order would be deducted on the 25th May 2020 as I was out of contract. That seemed easy enough. However, in early August, I checked my credit report and to my surprise, there was an outstanding amount for Vodacom of over R300 - the monthly debit order was R110. I immediately phoned to query this and after spending about 3 hours on the phone over multiple days, it still has not been resolved. After the initial call to cancel on the 14th May 2020, I phoned on the 11th August 2020, the 25th August 2020, the 26th August 2020 and again on the 4th September 2020. Joselyn Pillay confirmed on the 26th August 2020 that she will resolve the issue for me. Anelisiwe gave me a cancellation order number on the 4th September 2020 and was helpful, but now there is the issue of the arrears amount that I have been charged for ZERO service received. Nobody seems to be able to sort this out. I have been passed from cancellations to collections to billing and seemingly Vodacom need to step up their game - after all, they are call a "Service Provider"....and need to learn something about service. I will NEVER recommend Vodacom for anything and in fact, I will persuade everyone I know to avoid Vodacom in it's entirety. If Vodacom cannot do a simple contract cancellation, then imagine if you need assistance with any service relation query???

Thank you. I received a call from Lance this morning confirming that a credit had been passed on the account in question and that the balance owing is what it should be - zero. I am really happy to get this issue behind me.
