VODACOM CEO'S OFFICE NO HELP TO DESPERATE VODACOM CONTRACT HOLDER WITH DANGEROUS SAMSUNG GALAXY S7 EDGE UNDER GUARANTEE

I upgraded my Vodacom Contract to a Samsung S7 Edge and within hours of using the phone it started giving problems. Vodacom can seefrom my records the exact time my SIM card was placed in the cell.

The phone progressively got worse by the hour, to such an extent I could not hold the phone as it was too hot.

The phone gets EXTREMELY HOT, even when not in use. It cannot be used to talk on as it gets too hot against your ear.

The heat caused the CAMERA LENS to crack.
The battery runs completely flat within 2 hours
The text looks like long barcodes and cannot be read
The screen is purple and pink then goes solid green

The next day I took the dangerous Samsung S7Edge to Vodacom, who sent me to Samsung. Samsung then sent me to another Samsung Repairer. They were prepared to replace the broken camera lens with one of my free screen replacements, but were unable to book the cell in as Vodacom had not put the IMEI Number on my invoice, but this repair was only addressing the cracked camera lens!

On returning to Vodcom the following day to try and obtain an invoice with the IMEI number on it, they agreed to accept the phone for repairs. I received numerous messages that my phone was being sent to a higher repair centre, eventually ending up at Vodacom's Advanced Repair Centre.

I got quoted R5 500.26 to repair my brand new phone, as the warranty was void as I DID NOT BOOK THE PHONE IN IMMEDIATELY AND the cracked camera lens was PHYSICAL DAMAGE caused by me!

My Vodacom Records showed the phone was booked in for battery not charging/intermittently charging.

Manufacturer & model SAMSUNG SM-G935FEDAXFV

Warranty type NON-WARRANTY (QUOTE)

Reported fault NOT CHARGING/INTERMITTENTLY NOT CHARGING

I was offered a 50% discount on the repairs by the Customer Liason Officer in the CEO's office as a good will gesture, and assured if I accepted the quote I would receive a new cell phone. This quote was only to replace the cracked camera lens and not address any of the dangerous issues of the actual cell phone.

I have been a loyal Vodacom subscriber for over 25 years and am completely shocked by Vodacom's treatment and accusations of physical damage and not booking the phone in immediately to void the warranty and expecting me to pay such an exorbitant amount for repairs to a badly faulty phone.

My request to have my upgrade reversed and revert to an iphone has been ignored. This has been going on since the middle of August and daily I have been phoning and emailing
