Vodacom Centurion Mall has no CLUE!!!

After being an MTN client for a couple of years I decided to go back to Vodacom. Needed to keep my number and WHAT AN ABSOLUTE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Went to Vodacom Centurion mall on Wednesday last week. They did a port request (not a contract as I was Pay as you go). Firstly they told me that I should then go to the MTN shop and request them to phone their porting department to approve the request. I was then told by MTN that it will only go through that evening when the networks sync. On Thursday I popped into the Mall@Reds Vodacom branch for them just to check if the port went through. It was approved (did not have time then to continue with Vodacom contract) Went to the Centurion branch on Thursday afternoon. It is an add-on to my husband’s existing contract. We were then told that the system states that the number will only be released 29 November........seriously! Very upset, I was told the date was set by MTN and that I should take it up with them.........I go there immediately and guess what........ it was not an MTN issue but a Vodacom "New System" issue. At that time I have spent almost 3 hours in the store over the 2 days. Insisting to speak to the manager I was told to wait as he was busy fixing the problem (I have not told them yet that MTN said it was not on their side). I was livid as the consultant had no respect for my time and sends me to MTN with incorrect info. The manager eventually came out and said he managed to fix it but the contract will only become active Monday evening between 6 and 10........He ensured me that it will happen and GUESS WHAT!!!!!!! ITS IS NOT!!!!!!!. Oh another thing, I told the consultant that sent me to MTN incorrectly to apologize. He refused to speak to me and handed me over to another consultant. I am totally disgusted with the level of knowledge the staff of the Vodacom store has. I am self-employed and time is money. I do not have time to go back to the store and go and fight again just to get empty promises!!!
