Vodacom Cash price vs Contract price - Makes no sense???

Good Day,

I need Vodacom to please enlighten me as to how they get to their phone contract pricing? I've been patiently monitoring the various monthly brochures (from the Lets talk to Cellucity and Vodacom 4U).

Right now, im confused and perhaps a little worked up/frustrated...which is why I need some clarity. I was a little disappointed when the sales consultant told me the Samsung Galaxy S10+ has been discontinued (nothing else, just "discontinued"). I then started looking at my other options...and lets face it, these days with everything going on, one needs to ensure that you get value for money.

Can a competant Vodacom rep please explain to me the contract pricing because none of it makes no sense - I wanted to upgrade to the OnePlus 7T Pro...but the monthly premiums are either more or the same as the current flagship devices with a Cash Price value thats more than the OnePlus cash value.?????

OnePlus 7t Pro (Cash Price - R19 199) from R749 x36 months Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G (Cash Price - R21 999) from R769 x 36 months (only R20 more per month than the oneplus 7t pro) Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ ( Cash price R21 799) from R679 x 36 months (cash price is more but the monthly premium is R60 less per month???) Samsung Galaxy S20+ (Cash Price R23 699) from R749 x 36 months (almost R4000 more in terms of cash price but its the same monthly premium???) LG V60ThinQ ( Cash price R19 999) from R699x 36 months

I have NEVER skipped a payment or had a late payment...which is one of the reasons why i feel a tad let down and even considering applying the CPA and just buying myself out of my current contract and moving to an alternative SP. My husband has been nagging me for years to just buy a phone and move to prepaid...and now that takealot is selling the OnePlus 7T Pro for R13 999...this might just be my opportunity.

The OnePlus 8 Pro is out already, the OnePlus 7T Pro shouldnt cost that much per month for 36 months...perhaps for 24months...but defn not 36 months.

Can the Consumer Website team please indicate how you were not able to make contact with me? Because i checked my call logs and you certainly didnt even try to call once?

Thank you for once again making it very clear that I am not a valued customer. Im js another account number who pays their account diligently and on time every month. Sending me links to a brochure doest answer my question either....so im js going to assume, that there isnt a vodacom employee who is able to even "spin a story" on your cash vs contract pricing.

And please dont point me to your sales team, they are the reason Im on this platform in the first place.

So thank you, but I think I've over stayed my welcome with Vodacom... time to move on.
