Vodacom Cape Quarter

It's been 2 years since my last headache with Vodacom ... that was with their online service. Now it is with a physical shop in Cape Quarter in Cape Town where I did an upgrade yesterday from iphone 7 plus to Samsung S10. Transaction went well and when I got home i tried moving my data across and use some of the app that we all use as a familyt (photo share on iCLoud, Whatsapp etc) just to find that 1) one cannot have the whatsapp history available when moving to Android; 2)iCloud isnt compatible with Android as one cannot seamlessly integrate this with Android and hence cant share photo easily unless we all move to GoogleDrive; 3) can no longer use my Apple ID on Android, which makes sense but makes it impossible for me to administer our family "Apple" environment ... and moving data across is ridiculous. Lost half of my contacts as Apple is saving things strangely. I bought Android software to help the process but none work as iCloud is the major culprit. As a result nothing wrong with the S10, but switching to Android was a poor choice. I therefore asked the guys at Vodacom Cape Quarter to exchange the device for a new Apple one and they pointblank refused. Apparently one has no right to change their minds --- you can only change your mind if you buy online! That goes against everything that CPA stands for as consumer has therefore zero protection against unwanted and unsuitable items using that reasoning. None of this is in Vodacom's documentation, so if I did not specifically waived my rights as a consumer, I cannot understand why I cannot change a device -- less than 24 hours after upgrading. I called Vodacom's customer help line who confirm that I am within my rights to change my mind as long a the item is undamaged -- whether it has been opened is irrelevant. So I now need to raise an official complaint on that particular shop and its manager Chris Wilke.
