Vodacom can’t read credit reports

I have been a customer for over 15 years I have 6 contracts with them and none of them are new contracts. 4 of my contracts are ready for upgrades, 2 i want to cancel and 2 I want to upgrade with devices. When I went to both Vodacom Shops in Menlyn Mall on the 11th of December, the consultants found that I have finance block on my account. The reply on the system was that I’m in arrears on some other account on my credit record.

I phone the accounts department to find out what was the problem, as there is nothing on my credit scores from both TransUnion or Experien. The Lady instructed me to take my credit reports to a vodashop so that a consultant can load it on the system and motivate it for me to get the upgrades.

On 16 December I went to the VodaShop in the Kolanade Mall. Here I mailed my TransUnion report to the consultant and he logged a query. Later on the same day I went back to the shop and the result was that there is an account in arrears on my Experien Report. So I requested my report from Experien and mailed it to the consultant, he logged the query again with the new report. Both reports show that my record is clear and doesn’t show any account in arrears and that I have a great credit score.

I then followed up on this query, on the 18th of December at the Vodashop 4U, in the Pavilion Mall. The consultant there informed me that the reply was that the there is an account in arrears and that the client (that me) should learn to read credit reports. That was the comment on the query.

Then today, 19 December I went to the Vodashop in Balito to see what can be done. The Consultant phoned the relevant department to enquire to what they see on my reports. The persons on the other end indicated that there is a account in arrears on my report but that they can not tell me what account it is, and that I need to sort it out with Experien.

This brings me to my issue with Vodacom now. I have tried everything from my side to address this issue. All the consultants that assisted me, did a great job and could also not see anything on my credit reports that’s out of place.

The only thing that I can think might be causing this is a dispute that I logged with Experien over 1 year ago that they haven’t resolved. TransUnion did remove the expired debt for my report, but Expirien did not. But this should not even influence this now, because the last negative report on my account was January 2021.

What I do not understand is how I could buy a house in April 2021 but now I can’t get a Samsung A73 on contract?

I would love for someone to go hit the person over the head that is reading my report, maybe they will wake up and fix this ridiculous issue that Im experiencing.

The feedback from the Customer Acquisition team was not helpful and did not advice me on what the exact issue is nor how to resolve this issue. The vodacom customer acquisition team is the team that can not read a credit report in the first place and the cause for my frustrations.
Maybe if one of your consultants would have contacted me as promised we can resolve this issue.
