Vodacom cannot act on own SMS to fix debit order
Vodacom sent me an SMS \Vodacom Notification: Please contact the Vodacom Customer Care line on 082111 to update your debit order information\". This after last week cancelling my credit card debit order and putting me on bank debit order (another whole story!)
At 13:30 today I phoned 111 and got Funeka. Could not understand SMS when I read it to her. First, there was \"no problem\" all payments up to date, then \"no debit order\", then could not access the information. Clearly clueless, Asked to speak to supervisor, not available. So put me through to accounts, eventually got Maria at subscriber info, she could not help me, I need accounts. Waited then ran out of time.
Called again 16.45, Vli (?) clueless, got supervisor Nkosi cannot change anything since account in arrears! (It is not, see above). Need to talk to accounts, (you guessed) accounts person called herself subscriber services and (you guessed) could not help, put me though to service centre again, who could not help, who said I had to go back to accounts. Asked for supervisor. Supervisor clueless (did not even know what a debit order was) so I asked for his manager. Put on endless hold and gave up after 30 minutes."
