Vodacom cancellations department - *************, unreliable and uninterested, money sharks

I logged a call with cancellations department in mid July to cancel my contract with Vodacom after 15yrs. I was told to send a cancellation letter immediately to cancel the contract within 30days of receipt. I subsequently did this and got a confirmation of cancellation from Vodacom. In the last week of August 2018 I phoned back to confirm that I am cancelling the contract. The cancellation department said that fro some reason the cancellation had not been done and was refused. An agent tried to convince me to change the package to one that suited my pocket and after much convincing, I accepted. He apparently logged the change of contract but confirmed it would take 7 days to confirm cancellation of the old contract, but that I would not be charged the old package fee any longer. A few days later I phones back to say that it had still not been done and found out that the original person that had assisted me had never logged my cancellation failure complaint or the retarrif query which was requested. Eventually, on the 14th of August, I phones again, and another person for THE FIRST TIME logged a retarrif request. I have been with Vodacom for 15yrs, but no loyalty from this money sucking machiene. All they care about is deals, no solutions!!! Finally I compared the contract I had agreed upon with the very same conversation 2 weeks earlier, and the facts of what was being offered in the contract differed again. So they will LIE and do whatever it takes to get your business, but no professionalism to solve the problem. I can’t wait to promote the competition to all. UNFORTUNATELY I am now tied in for 24months again to this dishonest company
