Vodacom cancellations

Vodacom are one of the worst companies I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I have been with them for almost 15 years and over the past 2 year their service has gone from excellent to unbearable.

I have 4 contract with them, but only actively use 2. I waited patiently for the 2 contracts to reach completion and phoned to have them cancelled. Many calls and many promises of refunds for the over charges month and still nothing.

Feb - Amount due to me R99 Mar - Amount due to me R99 + R99 = R189,00 Apr - Amount due to me R99 + R99 + R345,99 = R543,99 May - Amount due to me R99 + R99 + R345,99 + R359,78 = R903,77

One contract ended 31 Jan and another 31 Mar.

In Apr I stopped payment, requesting that this be rectified before I pay again and got a very helpful agent, Sello, that wanted me to settle the current bill to avoid disconnection. He confirmed that both my cancellation requests were received on time and were just not actioned. All the notes, times and dates are on their system. I paid. He would ensure all the past credits were reflected on my May bill. This did not happen once again. I am now owed R903,77 in credits and my debit order amount is reflected as over R2400. It should be R261.32 if the credits are past.

They refuse to cancel my debit order so I can pay the amount due according to me. They have now suspended my outgoing calls.

I really don't know how to get this resolved as they never seem to answer the phone and when I do get through and explain my whole story, the agents simply puts down the phone. This has happened to me twice today after holding so long due to "high call volumes". They clearly couldn't be bothered with my slightly complex query.

Vodacom phoned me back. Tried to convince me I never sent the cancelation. I proved I did by sending them the confirmation sms I got. Then suddenly they found the calls.

Again I had to pay first to get any action done first. They past the credits and promised my line would be reactivated and the cancelation would be actioned. No confirmation of cancelation of the contracts were received and I still see the numbers are billing for June. I hope they resolve this before my next bill.

Payment was made on Tuesday and a sms was received to confirm reinstatementof my active line. My lines are still suspended.

It has been another week...
