Vodacom cancellation policy
The coverage provided by this company in the area that I work appears to be practically non existent. Reluctantly I decided to move to a competitor having been a loyal customer for 10 years. I have tried to call the *** line multiple times with no success. It rings and rings unit I get a prompt to select a call me back service. Selected the call me back option but i'm still waiting for the call back. Tired of waiting I tried select the option to stay on the line and the line just disconnects after the prompt. I selected the option to upgrade my account and someone answered on the first ring... The operator then transferred me to the cancellations department where the phone just rings and rings... Finally got through to an operator after multiple tries and a lot of time passing, if you can call the person who answered a operator. Shaheed I think was his name, I'm not sure if he was new, completely *********** or following some sort of SOP to try and make it as difficult as possible to cancel my contract as possible.
asking me to repeat my contact details constantly, reading a incorrect number back to me, asking to phone be back stating that his system is offline etc etc. When I insisted to stay on the line until he actioned my request he reluctantly stated that my apparent 24 month contract will only expire at the end of the month and that the last debit order will be deducted then...... no telling me what will happen then? When I asked for a reference number his system apparently timed out once again and that he will phone me back asap. That was this morning.... When I checked online my contract actually expired 28 June 2020 already and not at the en of November as stated by this man? Not sure how to resolve this, Im beyond frustrated and very disappointed in Vodacom's service.
