Vodacom cancellation misleading & deceptive
I called to cancel my Vodacom contract on 26 Oct. My contract was for two devices, a cellphone and a tablet. The (very annoying) guy kept trying to convince me to make debt and get an unnecessary device (*********), he eventually confirmed it was a cancelled and that he will make sure no deduction is debited from my bank account on 25 Nov (he made it sound like it was entirely up to him and as if he was doing me a huge favor. Instead of a R800 debit order, R200 went off my bank account on 25 Nov..... I called to escalate on 7 Dec, was told I'd have feedback on Friday(I didn't) I got a lot of sympathy from Vanessa, she confirmed my cellphone was cancelled but not the tablet. I called again Monday the 14th and was told I cannot get an expected turnaround time but that my escalation was still being looked at(a rather snotty chick). On 17 Dec I got a SMS that my cellphone number has been converted to Pay As You Go as of 31 Dec (!) and that I will be charged usage for this month (!). Still nothing about the tablet (both part of one contract but two separate charges). *********, sneaky and *************, Vodacom.
