Vodacom Cancellation Department
Hi, I have had the worst dealings with Vodacom Call Centre this morning. 17th February i called the cancellations department to cancel my contract. They advised that on April 30th i must switch my phone off and switch it back on May 1st. The time now is 11:50am and May 1st and i did not switch on my phone yet reason being i want to confirm my contract is cancelled. But after the run around i had this morning, i am switching my cellphone number on. Vodacom will not bill me for this month's subscription as i said i want my contract to be cancelled and my number on prepaid. The reference number i received for the cancellation is ***. Im sure you can get the call recording and my cell number from that. Firstly i phoned 111, got through to an agent which said she cant see the cancellation order and that i should call 082 114 to go through the cancellation dept. (I wish i took down their names but i did on the last call.) I called that number and when i got through, the said this is not the cancellations department and she will transfer the call for me. I asked what is the number and she said its ***. I called that number (to which i waited for 15 minutes) and as i was explaining my issue to the agent, she put me back in the queue without saying anything. Very unprofessional!!!!! Called the same number back and Lydia (cannot give surname when i asked) said that my number has moved over to the new 3D system and that they were on the old system. I have to be transferred to another person. I understand that that agent cannot help because of 2 different systems, but why must i wait another 15 minutes to get to the other agent. Finally when i said transfer me to the other department were they have the updated system, the voice prompter said "the department is closed". This is unacceptable!!! Can someone please call me regarding this? Regards, Kalvin
