Vodacom canceled my contract without my consent.

3 Weeks ago I was kicked off my Contract onto Prepaid, without my consent, or request. My account was not in arrears, so they had no reason to cancel my contract.

For three weeks I have been calling and calling speaking to new person after new person, and Nothing has been done. The tickets that are opened just keep on getting closed with the comment, "To be reactivated", yet no one can tell me when. Everytime they say they will escalate it, but nothing happens.

To think this is how they treat a loyal customer after being with them for more than 10 years is shocking.

I guess they don't actually want me as a client. Don't think for one minute that Vodacoms Customer care center will help with this issue, as they will just keep on sending you back and forth to various different people without a care in the world, with broken promises to call you back, and numerous promises that they will escalate the issue to a toothless department that doesn't even read the so called mails.

Update:  After the default reply above I had a lady call. She looked into it and said she would have to call me back. *SIGH*

I then had a call back while in a meeting but couldn’t take it. The person left a message saying she would call me back. *SIGH*

Got a call back this morning from someone who helped on Tuesday saying she would follow up again and call me back *Sigh*

No further outcome.

Update: It would seem that it has been corrected. It’s amazing how I had to go to this length to get a resolution.

I’m relieved though that it’s been resolved but feel it shouldn’t have gone the length it did.

Thanks for assisting non the less

I Spoke too soon.

Even though it’s been sorted. They have just enrolled me into a fresh 24 month contract as opposed to the month to month I was on.

I’ll give them some time to see if they correct this and provide an update here.
