Vodacom Canal Walk's Inadequate Service
Second claim this year and Vodacom Canal Walk have managed prove their inadequacy yet again. Earlier this year, I claimed for the first time with Vodacom and that experience was appalling, took them, or should I say myself - because I did majority of he communicating myself, about two months to resolve the issue. Now this time around, I get ******, Monday, 25th July, go to the police station the same day open a case. July 26th, I go to Vodacom Canal Walk, Blacklist the phone and the cell phone number, the gentleman advises I would need to pay for the reactivation and sim swap of the sim, take the case number and put a claim into Vodacom for the phone. I go into Vodacom Canal Walk, reactivate the sim card, the gentleman who reactivates the sim advised that I would need the case number to put in the claim to the insurance, gave me the insurance claim form which I needed to fill out and bring back. I go to the police station to find out why I have not received the case number yet as I was told that it would take 24-48 hours to receive and yet five days later I had to follow up with them, nevertheless I get the case number from them and fill it in on the claim form for Vodacom. I take my form back to Vodacom Canal Walk, the guy that assisted me, wasn't even bothered to hear what I had say or why I was there. I told the guy that I was there to hand in my claims form and affidavit, before I could finish my sentence he says that I need to call in to log my claim. So, I explain to him that I was there earlier that day and explained what i was told. I don't know, maybe I ticked him off or maybe I was too boring a client for him to comprehend that I had a claim form filled out and holding, pointing it out with my hand, him looking at the paper I'm holding out, but yet he still went to look for the claim form. He comes back, ask him what he went for when I have the papers already, he takes them, I ask him how long is the process going to take and he advised that unfortunately it will only be processed on Monday, and it will take 24-72 hours and that they would call me on Monday, afternoon or Tuesday, he would leave a note for the insurance lady. I had a feeling that I would receive poor service but I reluctantly left my claim papers and affidavit in the hands of Vodacom Canal Walk. To my dismay Vodacom Canal Walk has proved their incompetence. After not receiving any communication from Vodacom, I called in today, Monday 08 August to find out how far my claim is and how much it s going to cost. I go through to insurance claims, Monique, and I ask her what the progress is and she asks for my cell phone number and she tells me that the only claim which she picks up is the one dated back in April ( This is where Vodacom first messed up with their lack of or rather communication & where I was the Service Advisor and following up on my own claim - doing their work). After Monique tells me this I try not to loose it or speak harshly, because this means that the person on Saturday did God knows what with my paperwork and t was never submitted. I explain to Monique the incident and tried to explain who I gave my paper work to because of co**** Vodacom Canal Walk staff don't wear name badges, because clearly they mess up too often and don't want to be called out for it. Monique tells me she is going to check with someone to see if it is the guy who she thinks it is, I did not hear back from her, I though okay cool, I don have time for this run around, and my blood is boiling because it has been a ****py incident and then on top of it just out right ****py service. Now my mind is going to a hundred different places because the guy with no name who took my papers just **** said he was going to do something but didn't and then lost my paper work, or the person who he may or may not have given my paper work to wasn't even bothered to load he claim. I call in after my lunch time at about two, just to find out what I should do if no my paperwork had been lost and Monique is not there, she is on lunch, okay cool, understandable, I ask to speak to the manager because I'm no going to explain this again, but of co**** there is no manager apparently, I leave a message for both to return my call. I call in again around 16H00 for the last time, as had not received any phone calls I ask o speak to the manager and yet again no manager. So I asked the gentleman to have my papers ready because I will take it to people who are actually competent enough to follow though on doing something. Vodacom tell me this why have managers if they are never in sight when you go to the store ( they will literally duck out and pretend they are not the manager when you ask for them), some of your staff are not well trained enough to handle customer queries, or customers at all. How do you tell a client such and such will take X amount of days when paper work is not summited internally. Your service is really poor, worse than the service at the police station and that is low. Answer me this how does it take one week to register a claim, but then again you cannot because you lost my paper work, which I entrusted you with. Moral of the story I should have trusted my gut feeling to firstly no claim through Vodacom Canal Walk and that I should off canceled the contract with Vodacom.
