Vodacom: Can't resist the temptation to rip us off

So, on 10.02.16 I phoned the call centre, & asked for my recurring monthly 500MB data bundle to be changed to a recurring 1GB monthly bundle. Guy cancels the 500MB recurring bundle, activates a *once-off* 1GB bundle. I call back & ask the next guy to rectify. Terribly sorry he says, its been allocated, can't reverse it, will escalate. Logs service request no. S3-GMAC6-69OY on my behalf.

On 11.02.16 I get an sms stating that the query is being investigated by CIC dept & feedback will be provided once resolved. Later that day, I get an sms saying that the 1GB bundle will be removed if not used.

Now, since I WANT the bundle removed (as I had also just bought a once-off 500MB bundle the same night) , I proceed to be quite careful about my data usage. Lo and behold, although 500MB would normally have lasted me until the end of the month (maybe an extra 100MB would have been required), within 2 weeks I now have no data available. None. 1.5GB has just sommer disappeared. Well played Vodacom, your staff members gets to make a mistake & the customer gets to pay for it.

AND to add insult to injury, the requested 1GB recurring bundle doesn't appear to have been activated. Bravo Vodacom.
