Vodacom Call upgrade ****

Vodacom over the phone upgrades are a ****. They catch you out by upgrading your simcards and locking you into a 2yr contract on a sim card you dont even make use of. We have called them now 3 times to try and speak to someone to help us sort this out because they couldnt help us in store. We get passed on from department to department. This is a data sim card that we were not aware was going to be upgraded. We received no confirmation of this upgrade on paper or email. I now want to cancel this simcard and vodacom wants to charge me for the remainder of the contract. I want a full refund of the unused data that you ****med me into. If I am correct you cannot charge me for the contract that I did not sign or fully understand may not be cancelled without penalty. There is no device involved.

It's now 9days later and no attempt in contacting us. Shows that something is not right. Who do I speak to, to get answers?

Vodacom Finally called back. After explaining to them this was a bulk upgrade and we were not aware that this line was going to be upgraded. This was a previous **** that was added 2years previously. I do not agree that something like this should be able to be a verbal agreement but should be done in writing. How does anyone able to follow 5 lines over the telephone and understand how each will be affected?
Back to my point after the consultant called us back today he didnt listen to our compaint on monday and said it was a 24month contract. we know its a 24month contract and do not contest that but what we contest is the extra 5gig line that we were not aware of and want cancelled. There is no device attached to this line so I cannot understand why it cant be cancelled. The consultant now has to go back to query this again.

They will not release the voice recording to us. From what i understand is this voice recording is being used as the contract so i have every right to be able to posses this recording but they will not release it because it is their "property".
