Vodacom call centre is a real disaster

On the first week of the June 2020 my husband called the vodacom call center, wanting to find out if he can get an upgrade. The lady on the line said yes you can and he choose the p40. At a cost of R799 per month. To our surprise at the end the month vodacom debited an amount of +/-R1200 and when he enquire about this he was told differed reason but at the end asked the agent to send the courier company to the come and collect the handset as it has never been used. The lady said she will escalate the matter and once it received and approved by the courier company my husband will rece an e-mail. This was not done and to date money is bi g deduct from the ac but the handset is still in the box as we wanted to take something cheaper but was set back up the amount we were avoiding

Hi hello Peter, vodacom has not responded to anyone of us my husband or myself. The response that we received is automated to pull wool on our eyes so they can seem as if they have the best Interests for their customers but all they care about is their bottom line which is profits. A company that is not motivated by make false profit hires quality assurance teams to listen to call that was mde by the customer and view the profile identify the problem and rectify it, vodacom is always on newspapers about this and that but mainly dishonesty like in my case, I this trying times of COVID-19 every little cent counts but to them asong as they run to the bank happy everyone else is not their concern. I'm extremely disappointed to say the least!

After responding to the automated message received from vodacom one of thir consultants by the the name of Dean called me on the 16/10/20 afternoon. Firstly the intro, doesn't acknowledge the query, does not apologize, with an condescending attitude. Dictating with trying to understand the problem and no empathy at all. One could sense that "there goes another black person" complaining in his tune and attitude. The Dean guy even put the call on mute to show his disinterested because I'm not white and he couldn't be bothered but I must listen to him, it's been years since we had democracy in South Africa but it sadness me that in the mist of everything that has been said and done one still crosses path with such people representing a big brand like vodacom and when you point it out he was to quick to ooh that's not true. I'm extremely disappointed that in this day and age a consult will call you like Dean did and clear make you feel that your 11years of loyalty to the job that is paying his salary is nothing by degrading your being with his degrading attitude. To date the so called Dean has not responded as requested in writting instead he was dictating as if we were still in the old regime. Vodacom I'm extremely disappointed to say the least but I'm not and Will not be ashamed to be black, when one says you are going to pay a certain amount of money let the transparency and integrity of the company prevail.
