Vodacom call center *****

When it comes to taking out a contract with Vodacom, one has to provide proof of identity and address etc before anything happens. However, after one phone call from someone at the Vodacom call center trying to sell me phone insurance, R200 is added onto my phone bill without my permission. Firstly, the call center agent **** to me about the cost of insuring my phone. I told them I was going to rather insure the phone through household insurance as doing it through Vodacom was too expensive. \No\", the f***wit rep****. \"You were given the wrong information, as insuring with us will only cost you an extra R40\". Even so, I still told them no thank you.<br> A few weeks later I receive my phone bill and I notice that its nearly double than it should be. The staff at the store told me that the reason for this is that Vodacom call center agents are apparently known to be ***** and often put through false deals in order to meet their monthly targets. Apparently they often get complaints of this and have to pull phone records and then the call center agents are fired. Now I have to wait \"at least a month\" for it to be sorted out. Whys there not a stricter process in place for phone sales??"
