Vodacom C-Max Prison

Last year I received a text message about a contract renewal. I called Vodacom Customer Care to query the text and was informed that an upgrade had been done on my number at a branch. The consultant said he would contact me after investgation but he didn't.

In November I called to cancel my contract. The consultant informed me that the contract could not be cancelled as there had been upgrade on my number. I explained to the consultant what had happened about a month earlier. I was then required to send throuh documents as the case was handed over to the forensics department. I sent the documents on the 25th November as per advice.

Today I called Vodacom Customer Care (10:06) and was put through to Thato at the Contract Retentions department. I asked Thato for his surname and he refused to provide this to me saying "...you can address me as Thato". I explained to him the reason for my call and why I needed his name in my trail of calls. He still refused. This is very concerning to me as a customer of Vodacom even after authentication and having 3 contracts with Vodacom. Nevertheless I enquired about the cancellation and he informed me that the case was still awaiting documents (sent on the 25th November).

As it is, Vodacom is keeping me in this contract against my will and continuing to debit me.
