vodacom BYT off my head NeO customer service

I am a Vodacom customer for just around 15 years, in all honesty, there has never been a reason for me to complain about anything apart from a few recent, unsolved, concerns lately. That too I shrugged off as the exceptional service I received compensates for the few minor problems.

I have now realised I was a prey being led into the lions den. My pride emotions and shock as I had a huge BYT I never saw coming. Apparently Byt is the outsourced customer service agency that literally gives a shoot abt customer complains as they are not Vodacom. Neo, the agent had me on the line for 15 minutes of torture with her arrogance and attitude, let alone the fact that she didn't understand a word I was saying as she kept blubbering over wat I was saying after keeping me holding for 10 minutes. I explained I had just purchased a just for you offer but received a total different offer, obviously she undermined me saying I didn't know what I was doing after explaining I double check my purchases after experiencing a similar problem previously on another number. She then said that Vodacom has nothing to do with my query and it's the phone that belongs to me and I must sort the problem. The team leader refused to attend to my call and she insisted that there is no alternate contacts to take anything further as they have been appointed by Vodacom. This is not an isolated experience, working for a radio station in gauging, I have received many such complains from listeners and now I am a victim of thtat too. The point is not wanting a refund cos I can make use of the data, the problem is that this is theft with the most disgusting service ever. By the way the agent was encouraging when I said I will change my service provider. I really am emotional of my experience and would not want to believe that 15 years of loyalty has to end this way. Is this what consumer protection means?
