Vodacom ********* business practices

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration regarding a recent interaction with Vodacom and its representatives.

On the 15th of April I received a call from a Vodacom representative offering to assist me in reducing my tariff costs or rate at which I am charged for my usage. The emphasis of the conversation was solely on reducing my expenses, with no mention of any additional charges or changes to my existing contract terms. The representative explicitly stated that my current contract terms, including the R449 tariff I am paying, would remain unchanged.

However, upon receiving my latest invoice, I was shocked to discover that my bill had been inflated by over R250. This new charge was completely unexpected and not discussed during the call in question. I called vodacom endless times and sent emails, they refuse to reverse this change on the basis that it was my responsibility to predict I will be charged. Mind you on the basis of the conversation of the call I sat no need to follow up on anything, mind you I was told my contract terms would remain the same.

I feel misled and deeply disappointed by this discrepancy between the representation made during the call and the actual billing increase. It is unacceptable that I was assured no changes would occur to my contract terms, yet my bill reflects otherwise.

This is ********* business practices, and I have reason to believe vodacom has pulled this stunt with a lot of unsuspecting customers. I am in the process of logging a complain with the national consumer commission. I edge people to be careful out there. I do not know what is pushing vodacom to act and treat its customers in this manner.

I was instructed to contact mondo rewards co, and this vodacom supplier insists they are not cancelling this migration. I am being sent back and forth between customer care and mondo. And I have no way of confirming anything since vodacom has blocked my number from contacting customer care.
