Vodacom Brooklyn
Two years ago when we renewed my son's contract this store took my ID book to make a copy at a copier in another room. Since we were so occupied with the forms, etc we didn't notice that they didn't give it back to me. When I went back the next day they couldn't find it and even suggested that I might have misplaced it. They said the would look on the camera. A day or two later I went back but no success. I asked them to phone me. About ten days later I decided to go back there to make sure if they didn't find it as I would then have to reapply for another one. When I asked they nonchalant brought my ID from the back. Manager made a very vague apology. Now two years later we went back there to cancel my son's contract since he is taking out a contract himself. That was after I already phoned a month before to cancel the contract. No one in the shop bothered to give us the form that I was supposed to sign. The assistance was pathetic. Only when my son went back with other documents they said I was supposed to sign a document. That was never mentioned on the day we were both there. I also asked on the day that they looked at my accounts, since I saw money subtracted that I wasn't sure off. They told me it was for a rotor which I'm not even using. I asked them to cancel it, which the said they would do. Two weeks ago I got a phone call from Vodacom suggesting that I get more data on that account. I was shocked that thee account wasn't cancelled as I asked in the shop. The guy then said I had to phone in to cancel the contract, which was never said by the Brooklyn consultant. I find the whole operation of that store in a posh mall really pathetic. Maybe they are too busy to give customers proper service.
