Vodacom Broke my Device and Refuses to Replace It
I handed my phone over to Vodacom Pavilion - when handing the phone over, the Vodacom employee helped me switch "turn myIphone" off and checked the battery stats (i.e. the phone was on and in good working order when handed over into Vodacoms hands). I have confirmation (in writing) to this extent from the Vodacom employee who assisted me in booking the phone in.
Even though the phone was still under warranty, Vodacom refused to repair the device and quoted me more than the device is worth in order to have same repaired. I declined their quote and had the phone returned to me. Upon return, the phone no longer switched on and was not working at all (not in the same state I handed it to Vodacom). The phone was sent back to Vodacom repairs in Umhlanga.
Besides the Vodacom repair centre manager being VERY rude to me, nothing has been resolved. Vodacom repairs in Umhlanga takes no responsibility, Vodacom Pavilion takes no responsibility. I am left paying for a contract and device without being able to use this device. It is now four months later (I have been without a phone for 4 months - can you believe it!!!!). When ever I call into the service centre (regardless of what I say or how much I attempt to explain the situation, I am ALWAYS simply put through to the Umhlanga repair centre), who simply refuse to assist - to the contrary they are rude and unhelpful.
