Vodacom breaks a little girl's heart and trust

<p>So today after months of saving my 11 year old daughter had enough money to buy a cellphone from Vodacom that was advertised for R399.00 including R300.00 airtime. (Current special making it easier for my daughter to buy) </p> <p>We walked into the Vodacom shop in Riversquare and showed them the advert asking specifically for that offer. They immediately proceeded with forms and taking my driver's licence and proof of residence for the Rica process. </p> <p> </p> <p>After about 30 minutes they started activating the SIM and actually put it into the phone they took out for my daughter. In a very bored tone and manner my daughter was told to pay R500.00. O immediately corrected the lady and said that it was advertised for R399.00 and that is the amount of money my daughter had with her. She then only informed us that they had none of those specific phones left.</p> <p> </p> <p>Why were we not informed of this when we initially asked for the specific offer? I asked them to cancel everything as what we are being charged for is not what we wanted. We were sworn at, my proof of residence was not returned and all forms was torn up in front of us.</p> <p>My daughter walked out of the store shocked, disappointed and in tears. </p>
