Vodacom breaching CPA and no heart
Vodacom has just set a new benchmark for pathetic customer service.

We took an upgrade to a Blackberry Z3 with Vodacom for my son. 3 months later, the phone is giving problems and is returned to the Garden Route Mall Vodacom branch where the phone is sent for a warranty assessment. We specify on the forms that we would prefer not to have the phone repaired or replaced and request to change to another brand with a new contract as per our CPA rights.

We get told that Vodacom has sent us another phone but hell, why would Vodacom bother with keeping the client happy and following the law and our request? The Vodacom store have as much interest in resolving the case as a person forced to watch paint age on a wall so I call Vodacom Customer service and they do absolutely nothing, referring me back to the branch. I subsequently hear that the replacement phone for the NEW phone we are paying for is actually a 2nd hand phone (Refurbished) - another breach of CPA.

I am already paying a phone contract for my 16 yr old son who died and which Vodacom refuses to cancel and now I am paying a 2nd contract for a 2nd hand phone.

Nice one Vodacom, counting the days until I can change to MTN.
