Vodacom blocks second sim on dual sim phones.
I recently upgraded to a Huawei P30 Lite dual sim version MARLX1M. Just to find out that vodacom blocks the second sim, no other operator does this. Is this fair. I specifically upgraded for the feature since i want to put a data sim in second slot. you get data cheaper than on existing contracts. Now i still need to charge and carry around an additional device just because Vodacom don't want you to use the second sim. Is there some one out there that can take vodacom on and sort out this problem please. I want the second sim unblocked.
thanks.

03 Jun 2019, 17:14I'm still not satisfied with vodacom lame reply.
According to vodacom it's for the insurance since you can put in a sim from any other supplier.
Now some people don't even take out a insurance, and if they do its for insuring the device and it does not matter what sim card is used in the device. In fact the client is paying such insurance not vodacom.
Maybee they are talking about the warenty. But as far as I know the warranty at least for the first year is from the provider of the cell phone and not vodacom. Who also don't care about the sim used in the device.
I would also like vodacom to provide me with proof that a sim can break a phone.
Do not matter which supplier.
I personally think that vodacom just don't know how to address the second sim in their OS and therefor make lame excuses.
You can put any sim in the primary slot and it work and that does not effect the insurance or the warranty.
