Vodacom Blacklisting Bully Tactics
Been a client since 1995 and spend a lot of money with Vodacom monthly. Monthly invoices gets deducted via debit order and never had any payment returned. When I app**** for another contractor as was informed that my application was declined because of Vodacom that blacklisted me. My first reaction was that a debit order was never returned and how was it possible.
After lengthy process I was informed I had 2 split billing accounts with outstanding amounts of R24.03 and R72.09 separately. NOT ONCE was I contacted about this or an attempt has been made by Vodacom to deduct this via debit order. Instead they opted to go through all the trouble to Blacklist me. How low do you have to go to Blacklist someone for less than R100 while you have been deducting more than R2000 per month without hassles.
Try and contact Vodacom to speak to a a human, almost impossible. A year later they still have not cleared my name. I don't expect this review to help at all, therefore they are to *********** or really don't care about their subscribers. It is not a surprise that MTN has passed them as the best network with better NPS scores.
I have gone to ICASA and laid a complaint against Vodacom, hopefully somewhere I will get an apology and the blacklisting will be cleared.
The experience from the Vodacom Consumer Website Team has been exactly as expected. They are quick to respond and to silent the person complaining. It is almost a month later and no delivery on the promises that was made by their Website Team.
I have responded in private with my contact details and expect a response in writing that the matter has been cleared up, as well as an apology for the mess.
Regards
Francois
