VODACOM BLACKLISTED ME FOR NON EXISTENT NUMBER!!!!!

After continuous problems with Vodacom I have reached a frustration like no other. February 2016 my phone got ****** whilst in Australia. In April when back in Cape Town I went in to the Bayside centre Vodacom store where I paid for a sim swap. After 2 days, SIM card still not activated, I returned into the store where they told me that it couldn't activate because I owed an amount on the number (this was an amount of roughy R240 which was 4 months of a prepaid activation price which was R60 a month just to keep my number as my contract was due to come to an end in 2016 and again I was abroad, I called from New Zealand to find out how I could keep my number after my contract had ended. They then transferred me over to a R60 a month option where I could keep my contract number and be prepaid. Fast forward to April 2017... after paying the amount owed in the Vodacom store which I have proof of on my bank statements. I said to the lady assisting me that I wanted to cancel the prepaid monthly fee of R60 as my sim swap wasn't working and I had bought a cheap SIM card from shop rite checkers. The lady typed a few things in her computer, made a phone call and said great thanks its cancelled. I then asked her if I had to fill out any forms in which she said no because its just a prepaid monthly fee I have cancelled it.

Walked out the store and that was that. OR SO I THOUGHT!

A YEAR LATER I get an sms from Symington&deKok attorneys to say my account has been handed over from Vodacom

WHAT ACCOUNT I think as I am now having to be on hold with Vodacoms call centre... after being put through to various different departments I get an automated message saying: your account has been handed over to legal please contact Symington&DeKok on ********** 511

I then call them and they tell me that Vodacom has to give me a paid up letter. and that all they can tell me is that I owe Vodacom an amount of 400 and odd rand.

I then go BACK AND FORTH between vodacom stores who then tell me to call the call centre who then tell me they can't help me because the information in the folder says SENT TO LEGAL so I have to call Symington&DeKok who then tell me to go back to Vodacom

SERIOUSLY!!!!

Got hold of someone in the Tygervalley head office who also can only tell me that it doesn't make sense because when she looks on the system the number that is in question is not on the system

RIGHT SO

1. That number has not been in use since February 2017. 2. SURELY Vodacom can pull up records of a payment in store where I paid the R240 owed in April 2017. 3. If vodacom hasn't sent me ONE statement since I went in and paid and cancelled ********** 602 in APRIL 2017 then then HOW THE HELL can they be charging me and WHAT are they charging me for 4. I am now BLACKLISTED for Vodacoms mistake 5. they are still telling me from both Vodacom and Symingtons&deKok that they can't help me

REALLY

I have no words VODACOM! SHOCKING
