VODACOM BILLS FOR AN UNUSED LINE & DO NOT CANCELL IT
With the last upgrade of my contract more than 2 years ago, some "promotional data line" was added to my account without me requesting for it. At the time I asked for it to be cancelled but was told it cannot be cancelled (at the time) as it was a "promotional bundle" packaged with my upgrade contract, yet all the relating amounts will be credited by Vodacom every month so I don't pay anything in that regard. I then just left it at that and monitored that the credits were passed every month. Since 1 February 2019 (after the contract officially expired) that "promotional data line" has not been credited monthly, and I deducted it off my monthly EFT payment. I have never received a sim card for that line and have never used that data line at all.
Since Feb I have contacted Vodacom Customer Care, their accounts department (last call was this morning 29/4/2019 with Sibongile in Midrand) and also the cancellations department several times since February to get that "promotional line" cancelled and the account rectified. No-one has been able to deal with this matter.
To add fuel to the fire, last week I popped into a Vodacom dealership to inquire about upgrade deals and to find out if they could help me resolve that "promotional line" debits and get it cancelled; only to find out that 1) Vodacom regards my account in arrears and as a result refuses to quote on an upgrade although I have been a Vodacom customer for about 20 years 2) Apparently I was suppose to have received a tablet that was offered with that "promotional data line". Yet, I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A SIM CARD NOR THE TABLET!! 3) In the mean time some terribly annoying computer at Vodacom keeps calling my nr to tell me that my account is in arrears! Really????
Yet, Vodacom since confirmed that a Samsung tablet and the sim cards were supposed to have been handed to me at the time but somehow does not have proof that I signed for it nor received it (obviously not because I did not receive it!) and now requires a "Police statement" (I suppose they refer to a statement under oath) saying that I did not receive that equipment. Really?
Since (a month after the 2 year contract expired) I realised that Vodacom also increased the "line rental" charges for my primary nr by R41-00 per month without consulting with me nor sending me any notification in that regard!!!!! NOOOOOO!!!

And still I am billed for that increased line rental every month.
And still have not received the tablet or the sim card.
Yet, today Vodacom decided to block my lines despite that the account is paid in full every month.
I feel targeted and bul****!
