Vodacom billing *****ulent “Purchased Content 2” charges added again after previous cancellation/refund
I am extremely frustrated that Vodacom has once again added *****ulent third-party/content service charges to my account without my consent.
On my latest invoice dated 01/05/2026 for cellphone number ending 38667, I was billed for:
* “Purchased Content 2” amounting to R1,059.48 incl VAT
I NEVER subscribed to or authorised these services.
What makes this even more concerning is that this exact issue already happened a few months ago. I previously complained, the services were cancelled, and I was refunded after Vodacom acknowledged the problem. Now the same unauthorised billing has started again.
This is unacceptable and feels deceptive and exploitative.
I require Vodacom to urgently:
1. Reverse ALL *****ulent “Purchased Content 2” charges immediately 2. Permanently block all WASP/third-party/content billing services on my line 3. Provide proof of consent/subscription for these charges 4. Confirm in writing that no further unauthorised charges will be added
Customers should not have to repeatedly fight the same *****ulent billing practices after already reporting and resolving them before.
I expect urgent intervention and a full refund.
- Full proof of consent, including the name of the service provider, the exact service subscribed to, the IP address/device details used during the subscription process, and the complete opt-in audit trail.
- An explanation of how a content block that was specifically placed on my account to prevent unauthorised subscriptions could be overridden.
- The reason these charges continue to recur despite my previous complaint, cancellation, refund, and request for preventative measures.
