I have been on a Prepaid contract since March 2016. At the time, my understanding was that all my account with Vodacom was settled in full. The request was that all my business linked to my cell number be swiyched to prepaid. Vodacom then stopped the debit order I had in place with them, seemingly in March 2016
In February 2017, I started getting messages from Vodacom stating that I am in arrears. I then had to go the Hello Peter route to get Vodacom to engage with me properly.
I was then contacted by Ula Wiggins, from Vodacom. They then sent me an account statement, suddenly showing that I am in arrears dating to November 2016.
I know for a fact that Vodacom has chnaged their billing system. I am therefore weary of mistakes on their side.
My request to Vodacom was simple: - Why am I allegedly in arrears when I requested to move to prepaid in March 2016? I have been on prepaid ever since. - Send me a usage report, as I requested on numerous occasions to prove that that I am in arrears. - How can I be at fault when it was Vodacom themselves that stopped the debit order?
I am waiting since June 2017 for Vodacom's Pre legal team to contact me, as promised by Ula. I even got a reference number : S4-ONY2E-EFVWG
NOw Vodacom has handed me over to a debt collection agency. Please prove that I am in arrears before you start harassing customers via 3rd parties.
