Vodacom Billing Incompetence
<p>I have been a customer of Vodacom for well over a decade. Since the last quarter of 2015 Vodacom has repeatedly used the incorrect branch code for my debit order resulting in unacceptable messages from their billing department stating that my debit order has been returned unpaid. Dozens of calls to their totally unhelpful and extremely frustrating billing call centre repeatedly fails to rectify the use of the incorrect code.</p> <p>Supervisors often fail to return calls and there is is no permanent resolution of the problem caused by whatever system is responsible for the repeated change made to my code.</p> <p>The inconvience and frustration caused by this conduct is now totally intolerable. The lack of competent service and the repeated incompetence leaves no alternative but to move to another cell phone company. </p> <p> </p> <p>P E Flynn</p> <p> ********** 006</p> <p> </p>

The response by Vodacom is inadequate and does not apprecciate that my complaint has been a recurring problem the cause of which has never been addressed. I repeat that the problem is that the branch code has been repeatedly unilaterally changed by Vodacom. To simply now enter the correct branch code does not prevent it happening again which has been the case since 2015. Vodacom simply refuses to accept responsibilty and address the real problem. The response from their "customer care" seeks to deflect the problem onto the customer.
While Vodacom purported to have dealt with the complaint I have been subjected to repeated calls at almost hourly intervals from a number ********** which relays an automated message seeking payment of arrears being the very amount Vodacom has failed to process properly. I have thus far received six calls from this number today and they continue after Vodacom alleges, in self serving sms to me, that they had "addressed your concerns". I consider the automated calls to be harassment.
