Vodacom- beware of getting trapped in their contracts that cant be cancelled!!

I am besides myself with the way Vodacom is handling my cancellation request. They have even gone as far as blocking my number from calling their call center. They debited my account today even after I cancelled the contract weeks back. When I requested a ref number they tell me you will receive it via sms but nothing comes. This beyond ridiculous for a company I once put on a pedestal as the best network provider ever. Highly dissapointed. I feel trapped in a contract I do not need anymore.
