Vodacom being Ridiculous
I have had a contract in my name for the past 16 years with Vodacom for my daughter. The contract expired a few months ago and we did not upgrade as she is now working and wanted to transfer the contract into her own name. So for the past few months she has basically been on a prepaid account. We went to the Istore in Eastgate today so that she could get a new phone on an upgrade and transfer it into her name at the same time. At the Istore, we were told to go to Vodacom first to do a change of ownership, wherafter we could do the upgrade. At Vodacom Eastgate, a gentleman told us that Vodacom only allows 16 change of ownerships per month and that she will have to go on a WAITING LIST if she wants to change the contract into her name. The fact that the contract has already expired a few months ago apparently makes no difference. Please Vodacom, explain to us how you decide on which 16 people are allowed to change ownership during a month! Surely, the prerogative to change ownership should reside with the client and not Vodacom!
