Vodacom BEGGING to be reported for ***** when most likely an administrative error

I regret that I am forced to even give 1 star to Vodacom.

Innumerable emails and calls to try and resolve the unknown no. on our account which we are almost certain is an ADMINISTRATIVE ERROR by Vodacom which occurred during the nightmare process of porting a number from MTN to Vodacom and NOT ***** (which is the department we are directed to email but who do not respond anyway and even refers to an email address that doesn't work if you don't receive a response after 14 days).

Matter will not / cannot be escalated and there seems to be no mechanisms in place to do so. Supervisors do not return calls and every communication is like starting from scratch again. Emails are ignored. Hours spent on calls.

It is concerning that the non-payment of the mystery no. will eventually be to the detriment of our credit record whilst Vodacom seems unaccountable to anything.

Perhaps publicity is now the only remaining route? I note MyBroadband has been having a field day with indications of how Vodacom is allowing ********** VAS transactions to clients which require human consent and where machines cannot undertake authentication of a service. Maybe now this has come to light, Vodacom is seeing slapping additional no.'s on accounts as another revenue stream??

Prove to us that somebody actually app**** for a contract, during hard lockdown and where you allegedly delivered the phone and THEN we will take the necessary steps to report a *****.

(I don't hold much hope that anyone at Vodacom will take this seriously but at least, yet again, we can prove we tried to deal with this matter and are not ignoring it from our side!)

Vodacom being Vodacom again.

"Kindly be advised that a consultant will make contact with you in due course to assist with your query." Nothing like being vague and kicking the can down the road....

Cut-and-paste response and hope the client will eventually tire of the matter or it will at least get passed on to being yet another agent's problem. No doubt this is the case for the current Vodaminion reading this.

ZERO response beyond the above after yet another week!

Perhaps management hasn't provided you with the proper flow charts and scripts for this particular issue?? Well, make it THEIR PROBLEM and ESCALATE it!!

It's kind of a natural law that if you're a company trading goods and services for payment or an employee fortunate enough to be employed, you are actually expected to DO YOUR JOBS!!
