VODACOM bad service , worst attitude from their staff on upgrades
Dear Vodacom
I’m at the point now that I’m just writing this letter out of frustration and irritation with your staff , I actually have far better things to do with my Hobbies, Friends and work . So as you can guess from the my cell contract is due for upgrade and the staff you have at the call centers are not only rude but also pushy and abusive
My number and my wife’s is due for upgrade end of this month Now the reason for the mail is that every time we are due for upgrade we get called months before the actual due date and told we can upgrade please come in When we do go in we get charged an additional fee because then the agent tells us that we still had a month or two left on the current contract and still have to pay for that as well .
This is total nonsense as you approached me and told me come for an upgrade , secondly we have had endless problems on the last 3 upgrades with the last one being the worst as I had to declare a dispute against Vodacom to get help as my Wife’s phone account was wrongly billed for data we never used and was eventually sorted after several attempts and lots of frustration .
Now the recent scenario I was phoned several times by your upgrades call center but due to responsibilities on my side withy work and training I could not take the calls I know it was Vodacom as my phone true caller confirmed the call being from Vodacom , so 4 missed calls the one day and 3 if I remember the day before the agent decides to take on my Wife and attacked her about why I’m not answering my calls from him
To make matters worst he then decided to interrogate her and asked to get my planning for the day from her which is none of his business and invasive When I took the call on the third day the gent was not only super pushy but also made me understand that it has to be done today and he wanted to finish the upgrade over the phone , not even asking me if I have time to complete the whole process now Taking the call and going thru the whole process is not the same thing , then he made it very clear to me when I said I would rather go to the mal close to my house and go and look at the option available to me that he has more options and better deals than the store does , so basically we the public get lesser specials or deals if we do not do the online deals , surely this not acceptable
The more he pushed , the more my level of irritation grew for his way of handling the call . Lastly I told him that I will not make a decision now and first go to the mall to see for myself what options I have He then started to push me for a date and time when I will visit the mall and kept asking for the date and time , that is when I reached my point of no return and decided to end the call and informed him of his arrogance
Only mistake on my side was not to take his name and write it down so I cant give you a name and surname But the number I was phoned on was *** and dates was from the 16th , 17th to the 18th
I don’t think anything will come from this mail either but at least I have said my peace and know that Vodacom has so many customers that my account is negligible to you but I will not be handled like that by another person I’m in sales now for 22 years and have never talked to my customers in that manner
Regards
