Vodacom Bad Service ... again!

During July, 2018, someone claiming to be from Vodacom phoned me. She said that she wanted to help me with a new 24 month contract. I was pleased that the new contract would give me a lot of data at a reasonable price. I was informed that the new contract would commence on 1 August, 2018. When the new contract started, I realised that the silly person had not included any voicetime, airtime or SMS bundles!!! (Please help me to understand what the point of a phone if one cannot make a telephone call?) Furthermore, in order to purchase the aforementioned bundles, I have to pay using a credit card as apposed to merely adding the charge to my monthly account! This is totally inefficient! So on the 8th or 9th August, I attempted to rectify this situation by calling the Vodacom Help Centre. After being ‘put through’ to three people, I was made aware that the person who had phoned me was not actually from Vodacom, but from some agent business contracted by Vodacom. The lady at the Vodacom call centre realised that I was unhappy with the new contract and said she would investigate the matter and find a new deal for me. She promised that she would contact me on Monday, 13 August at 15:30. Needless to say, she did not call me. So, on Wednesday, 15 August, I called the ‘upgrade centre’ again. The person with whom I was dealing was not available. A new consultant informed me that the call would be returned on Thursday, 14 August at 15:30. Guess what? No one called me. Consequently, I called Vodacom again. The consultant was not available again. After expressing my disgust at the poor service, he operator told me that a supervisor would call me. Well, I’m still waiting for the supervisor to call!!!

This entire situation reiterates Vodacom’s total incompetence! Their inefficiency and inept service infuriates me! They have no concern for their clients. They only care about draining money out of them! I am also very concerned about who actually has access to my personal information. Whom did the mysterious caller who initially phoned me, represent? Does this person have data about my bank account, address and so on? This is a breach of my privacy. Such bad service.
