Vodacom Bad Service

On the 6th October 2020 i phoned *** to cancel my data contract on my vodacom number. I was told that there was an arrears amount that had to be settled first. I subsequently settled the arrears amount and called the cancelations number again on the 7th October 2020, to cancel the data contact. I was told that i would receive a reference number once this had taken place. After hearing nothing from Vodacom, i contacted them again on 20th October 2020, two weeks later. They confirmed that the contract had still not been cancelled and that they would get back to me. I had paid the arears as well as the one months notice from 6th October 2020 to 6th November 2020 and still no confirmation the contract has been cancelled. My frustrations levels have gone through the roof due to Vodacom's inability to do a simple task of cancelling my contract. The agent also said that there would be additional charges for November 2020 due to the contract having not been cancelled yet. This service absolutely unacceptable and it seems that Vodacom will mess you around for as long as they want to in order that you keep on paying the subscription. I have been a loyal customer of Vodacom for over 26 years and i find this treatment as a customer unacceptable.

Reviewer Update
Today 31st October 2020, still no response from Vodacom regarding my contract cancellation. Seems like Vodacom doesn’t really care about customers frustrations. After all the promises to contact me and resolve problem, no response. My next step will be the Ombudsman.
