Vodacom back office changed my number to "invalid" on the system
Two months ago I tried taking a new contract with Vodacom. The sales consultant (i phone store) and myself spent every week to take a new contract, only to find an error on the system. No one at Vodacom could explain the error to us. After weeks of follow up and phone calls, they finally realised that the Vodacom agents did not upgrade my account to settled on their system and that was the error.
By this time I had decided to port to MTN. Its been 2 weeks now that I am trying to port to MTN because Vodacom cannot release my number in their system. As usual, I went to a Vodacom store with hope that the issue would be sorted out quicker. The Vodacom agent at the store referred it to their back office. The back office staff dont believe in updating their clients. The latest issue is that my number is invalid on their system. How can a working number be invalid on the system?? I am recharging my Vodacom number with airtime. There is a major issue with Vodacom's systems, all of them. I dont know what circus Vodacom runs. None of their systems talk to eachother. We the customers are suffering because of their system issues. The response to this complaint will be usual...a generic message customer service will contact you, and not that the problem has been resolved. Please dont contact me, please use the time and money to fix the problem. I have had this number for 13 years and now because of Vodacom I may need to change it.
