VODACOM AUTHORIZED PURCHASES ON MY ****** SIM CARD!!!!

I have been with Vodacom for years now and this is the worst customer service I have ever received from them EVER!!!!!

My phone was ****** in January and I had 2 sim cards (both prepaid top up accounts) in my phone.

I immediately went into the store the next morning to have a sim swop done on my main number. I requested to have the phone blacklisted but the store was unable to assist me because I didn't have the phone's IMEI number on me at the time.

I wasn't concerned about the 2nd sim card in the phone as my accounts were top up packages.

A month later I realized that my Vodacom Top Up account was changed to an open account where the person who stole my phone was able to make over R6000.00 purchases on my account. This was not authorized or approved by me.

I have been on numerous calls with Vodacom's customer care, accounts department, etc. regarding this issue and all I received was that this was consumer negligence and I am responsible for the charges on this account.

They have now blocked my phone and I am unable to have it unblocked unless I pay the charges made on my account.

The service received from Vodacom was terrible, they never got back to me in the timeframe promised and they are now pulling up their shoulders regarding this and have now blocked my phone until I pay them.

I am so disgusted in how this situation was handled and up until today I still don't have an answer as to who gave authorization for my top up account to be changed to an account where all these charges could be made.
