Vodacom asking for personal information without letting customer verify that they are from Vodacom.

I received a call from some one saying he is Lance Curlington stating he is from Vodacom contacting me regarding my complaint on Hello Peter from phone number +***. He asked questions to get my personal information. I wanted to verify if he is from vodacom. I cannot call back on the number he calls from as it not a number you can dial back. I adked for his work email addess, he said it is personal and cannot be given to clients. He cannot give me another number to verify that he is from Vodacom. But asks me for my personal information. He also said I have to give references numbers that I called Vodacom but cannot give me contact details to do this.

In Vodacoms standard reply to all messages to clients on Hello Peter is to be aware of Phising ****s. The reaso people get trapped in this because of this kind of VERY unprofressional services. I am lodging a complaint to the National Customer care complaints for investigation plus for my original concern.
