Vodacom as useful as a lead lifejacket

I am currently not in South Africa, and wanted to activate roaming, to be able to receive an OTP. I emailed Vodacom, and after a week and a few emails nothing had changed. It seems it is easier to buy a SIM card in a non-english speaking country than to get ANY service from my own service provider.

I wonder if they would also take this long to contact you if you failed to pay them.
