Vodacom as a service provider is ***********.

Please note the series of events below:

1. 8 April 2017 I visited Vodacom Clearwater to cancel my contract, I was informed that I should phone Vodacom Cancellation Department to do it. I phoned them while I was there at Vodacom and instructed them to end my contract at 1 May 2017. Last instalment to be 1 May 2017.

2. 9 April 2017 I was on my way out of town, stuck in the middle of now where with no service. I couldn’t dial any numbers including ********** . The message I received was that my line was suspended. The only way I could do it was by phoning 082 111, Customer Care Service. Between the 9 April and 13 April I made around 15 calls to the Customer Service Department, no one knew how to fix the situation, I was transferred at least 9 times and during them my call was dropped 5 times.

3. Then the process starts over.

4. I spoke with numerous Managers, no one came back to me, please note I did let them know that they can’t phone me and I only had a whats app connection at that point of time.

5. 13 April 2017 I got through to the Legal department after phoning ********** at 9 o’clock in the morning. The assistant agreed with me that she can see that I cancelled my contract and that my line was incorrectly suspended. She confirmed to me that my contract is indeed cancelled. And gave me a reference number I ********** . Which I only found out today, 12 May 2017, is my account number and not a reference number? I asked what happens to the month of monies I paid for no service to Vodacom for the month of April. She redirected me to an other department that gave me a new reference number 1- ********** ********** and said that back office will come back to me between 3/5 days via email. A month later I still haven’t heard anything from them.

So today 12 May 2017, I did a follow up call to double check that there would be no debit order at the end of the month May. I was kindly informed that my contract is not cancelled and there are monies due. In the mean time I couldn’t even use my sim card.

I will escalade this issue until I receive a written letter from Vodacom that my contract is cancelled. I refuse to deal with the Customer Service Department. And that said, I insist my monies back, in when we discuss this we can settle on the correct amount.
