Vodacom arrogance
If you think loyalty to Vodacom will get you some empathy when you are faced with difficulty, don't hold your breath. I have been loyal to Vodacom for close to 2 decades and I have never missed a payment. I missed one - circumstances out of control while changing jobs - and my service was suspended. I called in to arrange for a double debit, but was met with disdain and utter callousness by the "always friendly" call center. When asking to speak to a manager, ALL supervisory staff are "in meetings". I probably won't have the escalated conversation requested.
