VODACOM ARE *******!!
Vodacom are a bunch of *******... we have been hit with a bill since December 2017, ranging from between R800 and R1000 more than we agreed to in our signed contract with Vodacom. According to our contract with Vodacom, the most we would pay is R1800 per month. Our first instalment following the purchase of my daughters iPhone in September 2017 was R1,756 on 02/10/2018, then R1,654 on 01/11/2017 which was great and sort of what was expected. Then suddenly it shot up to R2,629 on 01/12/2017. When we called 111 to query this (sometime in January 2018) we were advised that it was due to WASP subscription fees on our wifi but that they had been cancelled. We were surprised to see that on the 2nd of January another debit of R2,406 went through. Another call was made to cancel these subscriptions. Another debit on 01/02/2018 of R2614 and yet another call was made. Everytime we call we are told that its for the prior month. Vodacom are taking their clients for fools. 01/03/2018 R2,790 was debited and my husband and I totally lost our cool with the consultant on the other line on Saturday 14/04/2018 who assured us that the account would be corrected and that the only amount that was liable by ourselves at the end of April was R1300. Finally our nightmare had come to an end... NOT!! the amount debited on 03/05/2018 for the month of April was R2657. We immediately phoned Vodacom and where advised by the lady we spoke to that whoever took our calls the previous months didn't send the cancellations of the subscriptions through to the relevant department so even though they told us it was cancelled, they in fact were not.... Needless to say we were absolutely livid!! We have received a message from Vodacom confirming that "in a gesture of good faith" Vodacom would refund us R1294.22 excluding VAT and another R1241.2 excluding VAT.... to date we wait for this refund. We were told on Friday by a Vodacom consultant it would be paid into the same bank account that the debit is taken from, but on Monday we are told that its in the Vodacom account awaiting approval and will only take 14 working days. The one doesn't know what the other at Vodacom is doing.
We are fed up and tired of the lies and incompetency received from a service provider we have used for years an
