Vodacom are ******s
When you are cancelling a contract with Vodacom, you are FORCED to continue to pay for the monthly airtime instead of just settling for the device. Compare with Cell C where if you want to cancel a contract you only settle for the device. I have contracts with both Cell C and Vodacom and if I had known I would have never taken contracts with Vodacom.
