Vodacom are ********* and *******!
I took out a subscription with Vodacom about two and a half years back, because I wanted the tablet that came with the contract. It was only supposed to be R 129.00 a month, which is what they billed me for most of the contract. Then I cancelled the contract about 4 months ago and after noticing about two months after cancelling, that they were deducting around R 300 a month from my account. I phoned at the start of this month (May) to find out what was going on - they told me it was for some V-Live service I had subscribed to. I told them that I NEVER subscribed to anything and am not an idiot. I have also cancelled the contract and have NO contract with them, so how can they be *****ing this money from my account? They claimed that they would "investigate" - they did and said they would refund the money to my account (over a R 1000.00) - still no money had been paid back to me by the middle of the month (16th May), so I phoned them again. They now confirmed that I was billed for V-Live service and that they would credit my bank account with the money (R1 005.00 is what they told me). I then asked them why the money had not been paid into my account yet - "they needed to investigate". So I said to them that you have just agreed that you stole the money from my account and you owe it to me - they needed to "investigate" was the answer again. So, if I had not phoned on that day nothing would have happened. I then asked when my money would be paid back to me - "it can take 7 to 10 days" was the answer. That was the end of that call. On the 22nd of May I phoned again, as no money had been paid into me account yet. I got through to the call centre and had to explain the entire story for the 20th time. They then told me that I was correct (again) and that the money had been credited to my account. I asked them which account, as I have seen no money credited to any of my bank accounts - she then tells me that it wasn't credited to my back account, but to my Vodacom account - I said I don't have a f@#*ing Vodacom account - I cancelled it at the beginning of March!!!!!! They checked and confirmed this and then said that the money would be in my account within 48 hours. I called back today 24th May - 48 hrs later) as still no money had been paid to me. Got through again on the call centre - had to explain the whole story AGAIN!!! I then get put through from one department to another - from customer "care" to accounts (each time having to explain the story over) - the person (Margaret). This person (Nhlanhla Masusku) also agreed (after looking on their systems) that I am owed the money, but she couldn’t help me as she was in the collections department for accounts in arrears and she had to put me back to the customer “care” department, where I had to tell the whole story again. By this time, you can imagine my frustration. I then spoke to another person who gave me the run around again. It then apparently dawned that the money needs to be credited to my Vodacom account (which I no longer have – I cancelled my contract with them in March) before it can be credited to my bank account. Apparently i was sent an SMS on the 11th of May to inform me of this – no such SMS was ever sent or received by me. She said that she would resend the SMS to my MTN number which I gave her (still not received) and she claimed that the money would be in my account within 7 to 14 days from that date, so it should be in my account in the next few days. I doubt it will. Vodacom are either the most *********** bunch of unaccountable people I have EVER had the misfortune of dealing with, or they are deliberate ******* and have instructed their staff to give people the run-around in the hope that we eventually give up and go away, so they can keep the ****** money. Well, I tell you this Vodacom – I am not going away and will spread this story far and wide. Never again in my life will I or anybody I have any influence over, ever deal with you bunch of ********* again!
