VODACOM - APPALING SERVICE FROM UPGRADES DEPARTMENT

Hello Peter… I would like to express my disappointment from the horrific experience I received from Vodacom. I have 4No. contract lines with Vodacom and on Monday 29th March a gentleman by the name of Bongani called me from their upgrades department and offered me upgrade deals. I decided I will upgrade just one contract and whilst at that terminate two other contract lines which I am not utilizing anymore. As he assisted me with the upgrade he told me that if I indeed want to Terminate the other two contracts I should call *** because he ca not process the cancelation from his side. Immediately after talking to him I called this number in order to notify them of my intention to terminate the two contract lines. I spoke to a lady called Zama who upon seeing on their system that I had just upgraded one of my contracts asked me why didn’t Bongani Terminate these contracts while performing the upgrade. How on earth am I supposed to know who is supposed to do what in their organization? At some point she wanted to transfer me back to Bongani because apparently he is the one who was supposed to terminate blah blah… She eventually brushed me off by saying this issue is now escalated and her manager is involved and these cancellations will happen. Sitting here now we are in a new month and these contracts have followed me onto April and they are still not cancelled. I mean I am paying for these contract lines and if there comes a time where contractually I can terminate them then why can’t they just assist me without dragging me into their company politics of who is supposed to perform what and why. Quite frankly I do not care whether it is Tom , **** or Harry who assists me… all I know is that I am a Vodacom customer and if Vodacom avails a number that I should call for specific service, then I expect to receive service when I call that number #simple. Instead of being expected to be a ‘department supervisor’ and run around questioning staff and finding out why they are not fully performing their duties.
