Vodacom and WASP or Content Services

This is the email I sent to Vodacom

The content services listed below were loaded onto one of our business lines without owner’s permission or consent. Unless proven otherwise by Vodacom, we expect a full refund. The master of this account should have been informed of any 3rd party charges being added to this account and express permission in writing obtained for these services to be added. If this is not handled to our satisfaction we will not be renewing any of our contracts with you in the future. We feel that dealing with a company that condones ******* and ******** to utilize their network for ******* profit to both yourselves and the ******** / spammers is detrimental to our business and we cannot trust a service provider that condones this type of behaviour and prefer not to have any dealings with them. This is not an idle threat, we have not been the happiest users of your services but have remained loyal to you for over 20 years. We do not take this lightly and regard this as extremely serious, it was only by accident I spotted this and managed to cancel all services with your assistance but it should never have happened in the first place. The amount of money that could have been ****med from you / us is staggering. I expect a reply with a plan of action within 24 hours.

I checked this phone and no services were opted in and in fact 2 were opted out. The worst is there is no visible benefit could be noticed, no info no extra games nothing the phone is clean so what the hell were these services that cost so much.

If this is not your department please pass this along or advise me as to who and what department I should be communicating.

Herewith Content Services that were cancelled, obtained from the phone cancellation SMSs even though I requested this info from you twice by phone yesterday with no action whatsoever.

This type of disappointing service is why we strongly believe that it is about time to change service providers. Two separate request for info and no response.

Tapgamez

McSecure BOB Mobile

***aGames

Cellfun

Cut Cookie

BMOBIL

Games

Quick Win

BITBOP

Their pathetic reply

Good day
Please be advised that the content service have been blocked.
Please go to the following website www.waspa.org.za and click on customer complaint.
You can lodge an complain there regarding the content service charges.
WASPA will then contact the companies that your line was subscribed to and request proof of subscription or a refund.
These companies will then contact you directly.
Their e-mail address is ********** />

This is absolutely ridiculous, they just allow anyone to add services to your account and then make it your problem. Every thing you want done by Vodacom they require copy of ID, a letterhead and signature of account holder and a letter requesting a service no matter how small but to add rediculously expensive services anybady can do anytime - no problem, no permission required just take our money. They just lost a loyal customer, most of our contract are up at the end of 2017 and we are gone.

We just received this and nobody is even using the phone -Welcome, your subscription is set up to: GAMESTORE9.R7/day.To unsubscribe send STOP GAMESTORE9 to 43794. support: ********** 472
I am not to concerned now because I know that WASP services are blocked on my account as per my request and they cannot register. How does this happen? No banners have been clicked yet the SMS still comes through. Vodacom has a serious problem and I am going to take this a lot further. The user denies any knowledge of the WIN a MERCEDES G350 ********** per day and the other subscriptions. The only internet browsing carried out on the phone is Facebook and they do not subscribe to anything or do they confirm any subscriptions via SMS. I have checked the phone - please produce proof to the the contrary as I have requested before on numerous occasions. Do you not think is strange that all these services were signed up at exactly the same time and now they trying again.

Ok another update
After many emails backwards and forwards to WASPs and Vodacom this is my position at present. Some of the content service providers have agreed to refund airtime they removed without consent and thats great but here is the rub. I requested from Vodacom a detailed statement regarding the removal of airtime from my account and Vodacom refer me back to WASPs. I in turn request details from WASPs and they refer me to my dervice provider. Can anybody explain to me how this works. I expected Vodacom to give me support regarding this ordeal I am going through but I just get pushed from here to there but no actual support. It is obvios to anyone that the airtime was taken without consent otherwise why would WASPs offer refunds and if I am unable to get details from Vodacom as to who took what how am I to rconcile this account. Vodacom clearly refers me back to WASPs but that like asking a theif how much did you take? You will never get a honest answer. I heve been placed in a impossible position by my own service provider and they offer absolutely no support.

I have emailed Vodacom (Cassandra) several times now requesting info regarding my account with no reply. Cassandra at Vodacom has no manners. She sends an email telling me the info I require is in the attachment but doe not send attachment - old trick to get people off your back. Cassandra I am waiting for the information. If you do nnot send it I will lodge a complaint against you personally. Do your job.
